It was a hot and sunny morning, and there were some opportunity to play around with shadows cast by the lanterns.

Also known as the Lantern Festival, it’s celebrated on the last day (15th day) of Chinese New Year.
Young maidens who are looking for potential suitors will throw mandarin oranges (inscribed with their contacts) into rivers, lakes, ponds, sea. Potential suitors will try to scoop these oranges, hoping to get the contacts.
Went to the Klang Esplanade early in the evening but my journey was delayed by the terrible traffic jam at the Klang bridge.

I thought this kind of lantern has been banned by the Malaysian government as it poses hazards to aviation.

4. The crowd began to build up, and more lanterns were released.

5. One of the makeshift stalls that sell mandarin oranges, capitalising on the event.

8. You got to hold the lantern for sometime in order for enough hot air to build within the lantern to generate sufficient lift.
